Two weeks ago, I was invited to such a fun night! If you live in the South Charlotte area and haven’t heard of Nailed It DIY yet, you’re missing out! You’re basically your own Joanna Gaines with a paint brush in one hand and a power tool in the other. We had several designs to choose from, and I chose Home Sweet Home, and my friend chose her {almost new} last name with the initial (she’s getting married this weekend, so it was a fun little tribute to their upcoming nuptials!). If you saw any of…
It’s becoming that time of the year where the weather is getting warmer, and pools are about to open. All of us mamas start to think about our kids swimming in their pool and wondering about their safety. We want our kids to love the water, respect it, be cautious, and know how to swim well!Five weeks ago, both of my girls started their very first swim lessons at Aqua-Tots here in Charlotte. When I signed them up, I was made very well aware of what was going to happen in the lessons, and that they’d…
I love reusable swim diapers! And they’re even better when they’re cute prints. Then they just double as a swim suit! I love how they’re adjustable and can grow with my babies too. Hallen is potty trained now, but Hazel is in them every week. We started swim lessons at Aqua Tots about 3 weeks ago, and they’re required to wear a reusable and non reusable swim diaper in their pools, so we’ve just been on rotation with our prints. And, I can happily tell you that we’ve had no accidents that have leaked…
Most of you know that I started my yoga practice back up this year after a year and a half of trying to get my act together. Motherhood takes you down roads you think you’ll never go down! And losing my “fitness regimen” was one I thought would NEVER EVER EVER happen. But, when you become a mother, you become a whole new person. You no longer care about having a 6 pack as much as you care about getting a solid nap routine down for your little one. You don’t care as much about fitting a certain…
The days just keep getting better here in the south (except the impending Saturday that’ll only be 44 degrees…but we won’t speak about that). So, as well as sprucing up the inside with new plants, we’ve been planning out what to do in our yard too. And like I’ve said before, neither one of us have a green thumb. We don’t want to dig holes in the ground and plant stuff. It’s just not our thing. But, we do want a pretty yard. So, last weekend, we went to one of our local…
Don’t you just love when the warm weather has settled in, but the cool breeze is still there. Shoulders are bare. Coats are put away. And sweet outdoor memories are made. We’ve been having a fun and busy past few days with Easter thrown in there! I couldn’t imagine having better friends and family to go through life with, and I can’t wait to see what this summer brings. We spent this whole weekend outside running around, cooking out, eating snowballs, and going back to Carowinds. And the best thing about all these memories we’re…
Spring has already sprung (even if it doesn’t quite feel like it), and Easter is in 5 days! I still can’t believe it’s nearly April. But I see a light at the end of the tunnel now, and that light is warm weather, bare shoulders, and chubby baby legs peeking out of rompers! I love this time of the year. And just as the cold starts to disappear, I can see my girls’ need to just get outside and run around in that fresh air that spring brings us. They’ve definitely gotten bored of inside activities…
It was a low key and high key weekend all the same. We had so much fun family and friend time, even though we didn’t quite make it to every event we wanted to. Hazel starts to get cranky at 6 every night, so sometimes it’s just easier to go home and watch Netflix rather than trying to do it all, ya know!?Friday night was the opening night for Carowinds season pass holders. And it was a blast! Last year, Hallen hated going on rides. We would buy her tickets to every carnival we went to, but…
