I know a lot of you guys are still in the negatives up North and out West, but that doesn’t stop spring break daydreaming. We don’t have big plans for spring break since the girls are only in preschool, but they do have a spring break. That means we’ll be doing a stay at home spring break trip this year. We’ll do some exploring around our town, a few crafts that have to do with sunny days and getaways, and just have some unscheduled scheduled fun. Maybe we’ll break routine a couple days…
Isn’t it though? You can create your happiness and joy. Your circumstances may be dim, but you can choose happiness. I know it’s a lot easier said than done, but that’s what we’re trying to teach our girls…and even ourselves as parents! There are days when everything just seems to go wrong or I have a bad week where it seems like one bad incident leads to the next, and we’re all just spinning in a negative cycle. Those weeks are SO hard! But, ultimately, I can choose to turn things around. And I…
It’s been seven whole years since we said “I do.” Some days it feels like just yesterday our love story began and others it feels like you’ve always been a part of me. I know that’s super cliché, but it is what it is. This marriage thing has been a lot more challenging than I thought it’d be as a young girl who dreamed about the boy she’d one day marry and the babies she’d have. It’s also shown me who I am and how I need to change to reflect Christ more…
I’ve moved around a lot of my life, but I always say I’m from the Carolinas since I’ve spent a lot of time here, and I never see myself leaving! We have the best of everything…beaches, mountains, a little snow in the winter, and you can wear shorts starting in March some years. We’re also home to the Clemson Tigers…National Champs!**This is a sponsored post, but all opinions are solely my own. You guys know I wouldn’t steer you in the wrong direction**We’ve lived close to Charlotte for the past…
I don’t know if you’re like me and like to do a few things for yourself that make you look alive when you have little kids running around you…aging you minute by minute…but if by chance you are, lash extensions are for you.I told my hubby that I wanted to have lash extensions through the newborn period after Winnie was born so that I wouldn’t look like a ghost. I knew I wouldn’t have as much time to get ready with a newborn PLUS two kiddos running around. So how to remedy the…
It’s been a month since little Winnie has been in our arms, and I honestly don’t know how it’s already been that long! After your first child, days, months, and weeks really are a big blur. Time goes quicker than that little ticking second hand on your watch, honestly. Some days, I can feel the weight of time and how little we actually have…and how desperately I need to make the most of it with my girls…my husband…my friends and family. But, I digress. This story isn’t about how quickly our lives go…
It was the night before Christmasand all through the housenot a creature was stirring.not even a…wait…who’s that awake? The mom in the homewas awake, eyes half shutShe couldn’t quite settle(And in my opinion, deserves a medal). She was watching her babeSleep hour after hourBut was ever so nervousThat something bad might go sour.Alas, the Christmas sun roseThey opened their gifts. And guess what her hubby chose? To give the gift of sleep and safety. To his wife and his child,So both could doze tranquilly…
DISNEY!I’ve been so lazy in writing posts over the past couple months…okay really the past nine. I don’t know what it was about being pregnant, but I had a little less motivation to work during nap time. I wanted to zone out and just sit down to catch my breath! Maybe you can relate. Now I feel back in work mode. Maybe not having tiny toes attached to my ribs helps, so I can go back to bad posture on the couch with my laptop while I type! So, let’s get down to business. I…
