Welcome Gwenevere “Winnie” Mae

It’s been a month since little Winnie has been in our arms, and I honestly don’t know how it’s already been that long! After your first child, days, months, and weeks really are a big blur. Time goes quicker than that little…

Happiness is Homemade

Isn’t it though? You can create your happiness and joy. Your circumstances may be dim, but you can choose happiness. I know it’s a lot easier said than done, but that’s what we’re trying to teach our girls…and even ourselves…

Stay at Home Spring Break

I know a lot of you guys are still in the negatives up North and out West, but that doesn’t stop spring break daydreaming. We don’t have big plans for spring break since the girls are only in preschool, but they do&nbsp…

Creative Play with Shape Mags

Who tries to set some type of schedule for your kids while they’re at home? I’ve been trying to be more intentional this past year of having some type of plan to follow on the days the big girls don’t go to…

Disney Trip 2018

DISNEY!I’ve been so lazy in writing posts over the past couple months…okay really the past nine. I don’t know what it was about being pregnant, but I had a little less motivation to work during nap time. I wanted to zone…

When Your Mom Instinct Takes Over

My heart is still racing just typing this out. My mind is flowing with the what ifs and could have beens. This post won’t have any pretty photos and possibly not even thoughts that are strung together well, but it had to come out…

Seven.

It’s been seven whole years since we said “I do.” Some days it feels like just yesterday our love story began and others it feels like you’ve always been a part of me. I know that’s super cliché, but it is what…

The Waiting Game

so-ready

Do you feel like the last month of your pregnancy was more like another trimester? That’s how I’m feeling right now! I feel like I’ve been 37 weeks pregnant since Thanksgiving! And I’ve been walking and squatting so much that my knees, hips, and back have become the equivalent of a 90 year old’s, I’m sure.I can always count on Pink Blush Maternity to make me feel not 90, though! I figured this would be a great postpartum/nursing dress as well. I love it! And it’d been great for our 75…

Premama Prenatal Nutrition

premama-prenatal-nutrition

There are some things I wish I would have heard about and started using right as I found out I was pregnant. The products from Premama are some of those things! I’ve been loving my daily routine with these added in there. And the Essentials drink mix would have been amazing for the first trimester bouts of nausea.I mix the little packet with either orange juice or a smoothie in the mornings. There’s no funny flavor or texture from it at all. Just an added boost for me and the babe.Ive also been taking their Digestive…

Lipsense Review

lipsense-review

I know you’ve probably heard of or seen on Facebook something about a lipgloss that basically lasts all day ( up to 18 hours). Well, I’ve tried it! And I’ve fallen in love…after struggling for the first few days, I’m not going to lie. I got my lipgloss from Lisa, The Lipologist. She’s GREAT to work with. I told her I wanted something red that looks good on olive skin, and she picked out the perfect color for me – Fly Girl. I also got the Oops Remover and The Glossy Gloss. It came with instructions…

Dinosaurs + Roses

dinosaurs-roses

You mayyyyy be thinking that those two words don’t really go together very well. Let me just clear this up before you read any further thinking I’m crazy ….they definitely go together! Like coffee and cream. Like bread and butter. Like hot chocolate and the winter time. These leggings from Babalus by Lucy are so incredibly cute and SO comfortable (even for someone who is about to pop a baby out any day now). I never thought I’d be wearing dinosaurs on my body (I’m a girl mom), but I can tell you that I’ve…

Floral Loving

Winter may be upon us, but a good floral print is still one of my favorite go to pieces. Mix and match with solids, stripes, polka dots. In my eyes, it’s basically another solid. You just have to find the right piece to balance it out. This past weekend, we had a lot more time with just our little family than normal. We’re usually cramming one event in after another. So, we took time to explore our neighborhood. We live extremely close to a river, and after almost 4 months of living here, we had still not seen…

So, apparently your third trimester starts at 26 weeks. I could have sworn it started at 28! And that’s where I’m at now. I don’t remember feeling so achey this early on with Hallen. I guess I’m already a little more stretched out everywhere, and my joints are a little more wobbly…aka I’m old! This little girl is growing growing more and more each day, as are my thighs. I’m totally fine with that. It all just happened so suddenly. One day, it was comfortable to wear jeans and the next was terrible…

Baby Girl’s Nursery

As soon as we moved into our new home this past August, we went ahead and set the crib and baby furniture up since we knew we’d eventually have to. We also put all of our miscellaneous items and boxes in that room and just shut the door! Well, the past two weekends, we’ve been doing a little decorating in the new baby’s room. It’s definitely far from finished, but I’m already in love with the scheme. It’s bright. It’s fun. It’s totally out of my comfort zone. I like neutrals and…

Essential Oils

So many of my friends have used essential oils for years  now. I’ve used coconut and jojoba oil on my face, but nothing beyond that really. I don’t know if it was out of fear or paying for something I didn’t know if I would like or not, but I finally tried some oils from Healing expedition, who sells Doterra Oils. It’s one of the bigger names in the essential oil business. I had no idea that there were so many ways to use one oil! I received the peppermint, lavender, and lemon oils. When I…
