Must Haves For New Baby
A lot of people have been asking me to write a list out of must-have baby products I love and recommend to others. So, this list below is not exhaustive by any means, and I’ll probably continue to add to it, but, in my sleepy, loving a newborn 24/7 state of mind, this is what I have so far! If you have any specific questions about certain products, email or DM me on Instagram and I’ll try to add those!
With four babies, I’ve tried out a lot of products, but the ones listed below are our tried and true with lots of trial and error, finding new brands to love, and things I wish I had known about with our first.
Naps/Lounging around the house/Places to put a baby:
Snuggle Me (we just started using this with our 4th and LOVE it!!)
Dock-A-Tot (used this for the other 3 kiddos, and love this for even night time sleeping, but I know some people don’t feel comfortable using this)
Fisher Price Cradle N Swing (We’ve tried so many fancier options, but this one was the one that did the trick! )
For Sleep:
Design Dua Bassinet (beautifully designed and created. I used this for Winnie’s first 6 months, and now I’m using it for Thatcher!)
Baby Eco Trends Bassinet Rocker (I love having this to set our bassinet up higher to use during the night and to keep the baby away from other tiny hands here in the house!)
Love to Dream Swaddle Up (we’ve used these with all 4 kids from the newborn stage to the transition swaddles)
Mushie Swaddles (The colors are beautiful, first of all, and I love using these for literally everything…from swaddling a newborn, to covering a carseat, to nursing, to a burp cloth. It does it all!)
Ergo Pouch (my favorite sleeper for when they won’t keep a blanket on, but need to stay warm)
Body Products:
Beautycounter Calming Diaper Rash Cream
Young Living Seedlings Lotion and Oil
Clothing:
Kate Quinn clothing (I loved this brand even before I had a boy, but now especially that I have a boy, so I can still coordinate everyone in the colors I love. I also love that they have so many bamboo options)
Quincy Mae (the most precious baby clothing around…up to size 3! But you’ll find lovely neutrals to coordinate boys and girls)
Alex and Alexa(This site may look overwhelming, because they have so many brands and options, but I absolutely LOVE it. I always narrow down by color, price, size, and type of clothing to get exactly what I want!)
Zutano Baby Booties(the only type of “shoe” or sock to stay on my newborns’ feet! And Winnie continues to wear them around the house so she won’t scratch her eczema)
Accessories:
Mushie Bibs(is it obvious I love this shop?! I literally like everything from Mushie!)
Hello Bello Diapers( we started using this brand with our third, Winnie, and fell in love with it! We’ve used just about every brand, including cloth with our first, and now I can say that these diapers are great for girls and boys. The subscription service is great, and I love that I can go to Wal-Mart and pick up a pack if I’m in a scramble on vacation or something!)
Mom:
Lily Jade Diaper Bag (Caroline has been my favorite)
This Amazon Bralette (not specifically for nursing, but it’s super cute, and great to just pull aside)
Kindred Bravely Panties, Nursing Bra, Nightgown, and PJs
Morrow and Mint Nursing Bralette
Elvie Pump (use code KRISTINA15 for 15% off…I’m literally sitting here, using the Elvie as I type this)
`
Nursery:
Saranoni Blankets (We have the bamboni and lush blankets. Once you get one, you’ll never want to use other blankets again!)
Crib (this is the one we’re still using for Winnie)
Crib (the one we’re using for Thatcher)
Dolce Dreams (beautiful hand stitched muslin blankets and loveys)
Baby Carriers:
Hope and Plum (favorite ring sling)
Solly Baby (favorite wrap…especially when they’re still little!)
Happy Baby (favorite structured carrier…good for heavier babes and to wear on your back)
Wild Bird (another great ring sling option)
