Good Body Good Mommy Running Leggings
I’ve been a runner since I was 12. Well…on and off again runner. Once I started college, it became almost an every day activity. It was just part of my routine. I woke up, put my running shoes on, and headed out the door to start my morning. So, naturally, as a mama, I’ve tried to keep it up when I can. I ran all through Hallen’s pregnancy with no problem. I even exercised the day I delivered. I was a little more hesitant to do ANYTHING with Hazel since I bled a lot, but the day before she was born, somehow I ran 4 miles! It was that burst of energy from within that everyone talks about. For me, it just happened to be a run. That’s what my body wanted.
Now that I’m pregnant again, I wanted to keep up with my running routine for my health and the baby’s. I noticed early on that this little kid is LOW. I felt good running, but my body could already tell it was getting heavier and needed some support. Courtesy of Good Body Good Mommy, I got to try out their maternity leggings. I LOVE them. They were created for every day wear AND working out. If you’re someone who is on your feet all day long and just needs a little relief, the support belt on these leggings will give you that support you’re looking for. I throw them on when I know I’ll be chasing the girls around all day, and even though I’m only 21 weeks, my body loves me for it.
I know as my belly is only going to get heavier with this growing babe, these will be my staple I wear on an every day basis (don’t judge me for not washing them more than once a week 😜).
In these photos, I was 17 weeks pregnant, and even though my belly wasn’t huge by any means, I was till able to wear a size small without them falling or sliding down on a run. I definitely had more room since it’s a full coverage legging, but it was a good time to start wearing them. I’ll be doing try-ons in my IG stories as the weeks go on so that you can get an idea of how they fit throughout pregnancy, and then do an update with all the photos here.
I love how these leggings meet the “bend over” criteria too. They’re very opaque. No booty will be shown through these, so you can wear them with a shorter tee shirt or a tunic if you’re like me and just like to cover your booty in leggings no matter what. Lots of flexibility with these. They also pair really nicely with Good Body Good Mommy‘s multitasking cardigan. This cardigan has been my go to (even though it’s summer) since I’ve received it. You can wear it while you’re pregnant, nursing, or just a woman! It’s soft and the perfect layer to grab and go that doesn’t get wrinkled. But, I’ll be writing another post on that to show you all the ins and outs of it as well.
So, are you a runner while you’re pregnant? Were you able to keep up your routine? I’m always looking for new activities to do while pregnant that are safe, so if you have some fun ways to stay active, let me know! And ask away if you have any questions about these leggings.
