A Happier November

a-happier-november

So, the photo is a dead giveaway, but if you’re having a hard time deciphering the balloons…WE’RE EXPECTING AGAIN!! And it’ll be another November baby.  I’ve been quieter than usual on the blog, and I’ve missed it, but life has been extra busy lately.

The first trimester was the hardest one yet out of all my pregnancies. It hurt to look at the screen, so that’s a big reason no not very many new posts have been written. Getting sick while trying to crank a post out isn’t a very fun. But now, I’m 19 weeks, and in the honeymoon phase of pregnancy. I don’t really feel pregnant. The only symptoms I have are a growing tummy and an extra heartbeat when you put a doppler to it! AND we’re due in November. If you all have been following along for a little bit now, you’ve probably seen me talk about Hazel being our little rainbow baby. Two years ago, we miscarried a baby due in November, hence the name of my blog. And now, we’re on the exact same timeline as that little babe! It’s crazy how God works when you can look a few years back to see how He weaves your story together. This November is destined to be a much happier November.

I keep telling Hallen she’s getting a baby sibling for her birthday and that’s all! (She’s also a November birthday.) And she is very adamant on this baby being a little brother. She keeps telling me that we already have a little girl, so she needs a boy next! And then fun part is, we aren’t finding out the gender this time, so no one will know until this precious soul is in our arms! My gut is saying girl. But, we’ll know the reality of it in November!

I’m sure some of you kind of had an inkling that I was pregnant since I started showing earlier this time around than with the girls. Can’t hide the 3rd baby! Your body knows exactly what to do as soon as you pee on the stick. I’ve just been wearing a lot more baggy tops than normal!

But, I’m so thrilled that, so far, this has been the most “normal” pregnancy of mine yet. Hallen was high risk since we used Clomid to get pregnant with her, then we miscarried, then I HEAVILY bled with Hazel because of a subchorionic hemorrhage. So, all in all, I’ll take a nasty first trimester to have a normal pregnancy. I’ve been able to run and practice (non-heated) yoga. Right now, I’m with the same doctor’s practice that delivered Hazel. I loved them, but I’m also considering a birthing clinic or home birth. I just want to get through the anatomy scan just to make sure 100% everything is still normal. So, if you’ve had a home birth or birth clinic delivery, I’d LOVE to hear all about your experience. Pros and cons. Both of my girls were born with zero complications and I had natural/ med free labors. Hazel came in 4 hours, so I’m really thinking I’ll sneeze and this one will pop out. I can hope, right?!

I will need everyone’s help naming this child, though! I need all your boy and girl names you have! I like names that are a little different and aren’t used often. Something with a cute nickname. I really love French and English names. Got it? Because we really need help haha!

We’re really excited about this little one’s arrival. I expect our life to be crazy, hectic, and full of love. I may be calling in some backups on the regular. Luckily, my parents just moved 15 minutes away from us! Right now, my guess is that this baby will come November 15th (I’m due the 24th) around 11pm or midnight!

Baby Apple (as Hallen calls it) really started the real kicks this weekend when Kevin and I were in Charleston! The fun begins!

We can’t wait to snuggle with this little appleseed!
